Job Market Jungle

The job search can feel like you’re battling many hundreds of people in a ring. Rejections sting, but remember, they’re just stepping stones to learn as you go along.

Here’s the kit to surviving the jungle:

  • Got a “no thanks”? Think of it as free feedback. Ask for pointers (if possible) to sharpen your resume and interview skills.
  • Freelancing in between jobs? Not a waste! You were leveling up your skills with courses, recharging your mind, and staying on top of your field. Building a killer portfolio takes time, and that’s basically a full-time quest in itself.
  • Can’t land freelancing roles? Make yourself some assignments with deadlines and continue to boost your portfolio

Keep in mind:

  • Every application is an adventure closer to your ideal role. ️
  • Stay positive and keep that resume polished!

Because guess what? That “YES!” will most definitely happen. But it will happen when you put the effort in and you prove that you can come out even stronger after all the rejections.

It’s not easy I know. I graduated during the pandemic and struggled for years to land A JOB. Why? I was either too qualified for the role or under qualified for roles. I know it feels like you’ve applied for hundreds and nobody wants you, but you need to beat the bots and the system! keep trying!
